A portable ultrasound setup is more than a platform for the main unit. Probes, cables and the everyday supplies all need a place.
Main unit and platform
Record the system model, dimensions, weight and fixing points. Check access to controls, connectors, ventilation and the power connection. Do not assume that a stand for another system from the same brand will fit.
Probe storage
List the probes that will travel with the system. Check the shape and size of each holder against the actual probe, and allow room for the cables without dragging on the floor.
Supplies and peripherals
Include the gel bottle, wipes and any printer or other peripheral in the configuration discussion. Extra accessories can change both the total load and the available working space.
One agreed configuration
Confirm the main platform, probe holders, storage, cable route and base before ordering. For a repeat order, use the same configuration reference and review any change to the ultrasound system or accessories.
